# Season 1 Season 1 officially **launched on** **August 23, 2024, at 00:00 UTC** and **ended on August 11, 2025, at 12:00 UTC**. {% embed url="" %} ## Season 1 Mechanics ### Sats² Base Rewards * 21,000 Sats² per 1 BTC deposited per day through the [main SatLayer restaking protocol](https://app.satlayer.xyz/) * 0.021 Sats² for every 1 BABY deposited via [Cube by SatLayer](https://cube.satlayer.xyz/) * **Minimum threshold**: To qualify, users had to earn at least 1 Sats² per distribution. For example, holding \~0.00005 BTC in restaked tokens daily would generate the minimum 1 Sats² under the base rate. ### **Distribution Schedule** Rewards were distributed automatically through snapshots that occurred on different schedules depending on the network: * **EVM networks**: Every 24 hours * **Sui**: Every 24 hours * **Babylon Genesis**: Every 24 hours, except for liquidity pool deposits which were taken on a weekly basis * **BOB**: Weekly, usually on Mondays, covering the prior week ### Reward Multipliers Certain BTC assets had different multipliers depending on the epoch and special bonuses. In Season 1, users could also earn additional multipliers by completing side quests.
