## Season 1 Mechanics

### Sats² Base Rewards <a href="#sats-base-rewards" id="sats-base-rewards"></a>

* 21,000 Sats² per 1 BTC deposited per day through the [main SatLayer restaking protocol](https://app.satlayer.xyz/)
* 0.021 Sats² for every 1 BABY deposited via [Cube by SatLayer](https://cube.satlayer.xyz/)
* **Minimum threshold**: To qualify, users had to earn at least 1 Sats² per distribution. For example, holding \~0.00005 BTC in restaked tokens daily would generate the minimum 1 Sats² under the base rate.

### **Distribution Schedule**

Rewards were distributed automatically through snapshots that occurred on different schedules depending on the network:

* **EVM networks**: Every 24 hours
* **Sui**: Every 24 hours
* **Babylon Genesis**: Every 24 hours, except for liquidity pool deposits which were taken on a weekly basis
* **BOB**: Weekly, usually on Mondays, covering the prior week

### Reward Multipliers <a href="#sats-c2-b2-bonuses-and-multipliers" id="sats-c2-b2-bonuses-and-multipliers"></a>

Certain BTC assets had different multipliers depending on the epoch and special bonuses.

In Season 1, users could also earn additional multipliers by completing side quests. For example, community members who follow SatLayer on [Twitter](https://x.com/satlayer), actively engage in our [Discord channel](https://discord.com/invite/HKQngYyGEk) and join our [Twitter Spaces](https://x.com/satlayer) might also be rewarded for their contributions. These bonuses reset with each new epoch.
