How to Restake

This guide walks you through how to restake your assets using SatLayer.

You can choose to restake your assets on:

• EVM and Sui

• Babylon Genesis

By restaking through SatLayer, you can:

• Earn Sats² rewards via the SatLayer Rewards Program

• Earn partner rewards

• Help secure BVSs on Babylon Genesis and receive additional BVS rewards

Bridge to the Right Asset, on the Right Chain

You can easily swap and bridge crypto assets from one chain to another using IBC Eureka or garden.

Below are some examples. For the full list of supported assets and networks, please visit the respective platforms directly.

Bridging with IBC Eureka

Use IBC Eureka to bridge between Cosmos-native chains and external ecosystems like Ethereum.

Example:

• USDC (Base or Solana) <> LBTC (Ethereum)

• ETH (Osmosis) <> uniBTC (Ethereum or Babylon Genesis)

• stBTC (Cosmos Hub) → stBTC (Ethereum)

Bridging with garden

Use Garden to bridge assets within EVM chains or from EVM to specific target networks like Berachain.

Example:

• USDC (Ethereum) → LBTC (Berachain)

• WBTC (Arbitrum) → WBTC (Ethereum)

Restaking on EVM and Sui

Getting started

Before you begin, make sure you:

• have wrapped BTC or BTC LSTs ready

• are using a supported wallet

• have enough native tokens for network fees (e.g. ETH for Ethereum, BNB for BNB Chain, etc.)

Steps

Connect your wallet

• Click Connect Wallet, and select your preferred wallet.

Deposit BTC assets

• Select the BTC asset from the chain you'd like to deposit to SatLayer

• Enter the amount you’d like to restake

• Sign the approval transaction

• Click Deposit to finalize your restake

• Once confirmed, your progress bar will show as Complete

Add receipt tokens to your wallet

• After depositing, you’ll receive receipt tokens

• Click Add to wallet to include them in your wallet view

• You should now be able to see these tokens in your wallet

Restaking on Babylon Genesis

Getting started

If you’d like to restake cBABY, you’ll first need to obtain it by staking BABY on Cube by SatLayer. You can do this by clicking here or tapping the banner shown below.

Steps

Connect your wallet

Make sure you're using a supported wallet, such as Keplr.

Choose a vault

• Browse the available vaults and click on your chosen vault to begin the restaking process.

• Once restaked, you can monitor your position in the dashboard above.

Enter restake amount

• Enter the amount of tokens you’d like to restake.

• Click Restake and sign the approval transaction in your wallet.

Success! You're now restaking and earning BVS rewards.

Tip: You can view detailed vault information in the left-hand dashboard, including:

• Vault metrics

• Slashing parameters

• Operator details

• Your share of the vault

Withdrawing restaked shares

Enter withdrawal amount

• Specify how much of your restaked position you'd like to withdraw.

• You'll see how much cBABY you'll receive upon withdrawal.

Confirm withdrawal

• Click Unstake.

• Approve the transaction in your wallet and pay the required network fees.

Withdrawal complete! Your cBABY is now back in your wallet.
