Learn more about the partner rewards campaign by Babylon

Babylon Foundation has recently announced an airdrop of the BABY token to Bitcoin restakers who have met certain participation criteria. You may find the latest information here.

Babylon Genesis will be the first Bitcoin Secured Network (BSN) and will be the control plane for security and liquidity orchestration for the other BSNs to come. The BABY token will exist on Babylon Genesis initially.

If you’ve been restaking your BTC via Lombard, Solv, Bedrock, Lorenzo (with the exception of pumpBTC users), you may be eligible to claim airdrop rewards directly from the LST protocols. To make things easier, we've compiled a quick guide to help you claim your BABY tokens through each of our LST partners.

Create your BABY compatible wallet

To claim your airdrop you’ll need to create a Babylon Genesis wallet to proceed, since BABY tokens can only be sent to Babylon Genesis wallets. This is because Babylon will send tokens directly to each LST partner, who has staked Bitcoin on your behalf.

It's extremely important that you set this up before initiating any airdrop claim to avoid hiccups, so please don’t forget this step.

To create your Babylon Genesis compatible wallet refer to Babylon’s guide at https://babylon.foundation/docs/wallet-compatibilities.

Airdrop claim instructions by LST partners

Since each LST protocol has its own unique claims and distribution process for the$BABYairdrop, we’ve put together a detailed breakdown for each one:

FAQs

How will the rewards be distributed?

Rewards will be distributed through our partner protocols. These protocol partners received the BABY airdrop directly from Babylon for staking your Bitcoin. We have worked directly with our protocol partners to ensure that your Bitcoin restaking history are accounted for. However, it is up to the protocol partners to decide how the distribution is done, and we have no control over the process.

Is there a start or end date to the distribution?

This will be done by each of the protocols, and they all have different processes for doing so.

Why are some assets not eligible for any rewards?

Eligibility is dependent on whether you restaked Bitcoin assets from our DeFi partner protocols that are also eligible to receive rewards from Babylon.

Certain Bitcoin assets or Bitcoin LST issuers may not be part of Babylon and hence not eligible for the airdrop.
